I'm Peyton Allen, a close friend and roommate to Ashley, a 24 year old trans woman, and I've setup this GoFundMe fundraiser to assist her in overcoming a tragic event that has happened to her. She was walking home from the Black Hart bar on Tuesday night when she was inexplicably shot in the stomach by an unknown assailant. She typically earns her income from self employed gig work and is unable to work while she is in recovery, so she is unable to pay her upcoming rent and bills. She really needs some help especially if she's left with medical debt from the gun violence.

The funds are intended to aid Ashley in the medical costs that won't be covered by health insurance. Additionally, the funds will be used to help Ashley afford the costs that come with life such as rent, food, and bills. Essentially, the money raised will be used to help her afford medical costs and to supplement the loss of income. These funds will be given to her directly, as the beneficiary of the fundraiser.
