So the story is, when I was 15 I saw my first 1963 Riviera in pearl white at a High River Alberta car show. I told my dad then and there that I wanted to have a Riviera when I got my license. So the first day of every month, I would go online and search for 63 to 65 rivieras for sale. The problem was, every Riviera I found? Was either too far gone that I couldn't rebuild it, or too expensive that I couldn't afford it. Then...August 1st, 2018 - 17 years later? I found her.

Located two provinces away, and only going off of grainy photos, I saw my car for the first time. She was spray painted black, and had what I thought was a black interior in the photos....(little did I know when she finally arrived the interior was actually navy blue) Lots of reciepts and records of work done I could tell she was a good buy.

So, after sending the most expensive money order I've ever made in the mail to a stranger I didn't know, all I had to go by was his word, I sat and waiting for the car to arrive.

1 month later, she was here! I literally fell to my knees in my front yard when the flat deck showed up I was overcome with emotions because I was looking for this car for so long and she was finally mine.

Now back to the GoFundMe, I was doing really well putting small payments on the light of credit bi-weekly up until February of last year where I got it down to about $13,000. Then? Layoffs and covid happened and since then? A year ago? It's been stagnant at 12k. because I've been having to use my line of credit to pay off my Mastercard which pays for gas and food because I haven't been able to quite get back on my feet since Covid.

I have sold pretty much everything I could think of that could bring me some money to either pay for food or groceries and of course put on to my line of credit and Kruella, my 1963 Buick Riviera was my last priority to sell. having one of that car for 17 years and then finally finding it? I didn't want to have to sell her. But since it's been a year that I've been trying so hard to get that debt paid off, and believe me I have tried other ways..even considering consolidating my loc with my mortgage (I couldn't because covid has screwed the market so bad I didn't have any equity) also considering taking out my RRSPs early ( found out that was a bad idea because of taxing and my company wouldn't match me anymore for up to 3 years)....I have turned to Kruella as of October last year.

By selling the car, I could completely wipe my debt away, and have some extra cash in my pocket for helping me get back on my feet. I have exhausted all other options I have currently, but a GoFundMe page? Was never in the horizon because I always felt that it wasn't the right way to do it; however it was suggested to me quite a few times and after some thoughtful consideration and research I have decided to try it.

Now, $15,000 is ALOT of money, and if you have read this entire story and do not want to donate that is absolutely 100% okay, I just appreciate you reading it! If you would like to donate? That is awesome! But do not feel obligated to, as this is not your fault, I have gotten myself into the situation and I have tried to get myself out but it just seems to not be working.

Thank you so much for reading my story, from my car family to yours I appreciate your time and your kind words
