Help Ashley & Jesse rebuild after Helene
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out to share the heartbreaking story of my dear friends, Ashley and Jesse, who recently faced an unimaginable tragedy. Just weeks ago, their lives were turned upside down when Hurricane Helene struck, devastating their home and community.
Ashley and Jesse had worked tirelessly to build a life together, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They are the kind of friends who always lent a helping hand, whether organizing a community event or simply listening when someone needed support. But now, they find themselves in a desperate situation, grappling with the aftermath of the storm (and selflessly directing anyone who asks how they can help to other individuals in need or to the greater community).
The hurricane caused extensive damage to their home, leaving it uninhabitable. They lost not only their belongings but also the sense of security that comes from having a place to call their own. As they navigate the overwhelming challenges of recovery, the emotional toll is heavy. The stress of displacement, coupled with the loss of precious mementos and the uncertainty of the future, weighs heavily on their hearts.
Ashley and Jesse are currently bouncing back and forth between Jesse's family in Raleigh and various places in Boone. They are actively working with local agencies to find assistance and temporary housing, but the road ahead is long and filled with obstacles. They need our help to rebuild their lives, starting with the funds to rebuild their home, purchase a new car, and begin the healing process.
We’re asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to helping Ashley and Jesse get back on their feet. Your generosity will not only provide financial assistance but also show them that they are not alone in this journey.
In case you don't know them, they have two perfect pitties (Dude and Willow) who they thankfully got out of the house before it flooded. Ashley and Jesse both work at Appalachian State. They are Swifties, Chiefs fans, community supporters, and fierce friends.
Thank you for considering supporting Ashley and Jesse. Together, we can help them rebuild their lives and restore their hope for the future.
With gratitude,
