A parent will do anything they can for their child.
My name is Dona.

On October 20 at 6 AM I woke up to a text message on my phone stating that my daughter has been in a rollover accident from one of her very good friends that lives in another area. I also noticed that I had four missed calls from somebody’s number that I did not know and a voicemail which was from my daughter who was very upset, letting me know that she had been in a car accident the night before. Obviously you know I was in quite a bit of a panic at that moment because I am 2 1/2 hours away from my daughter . So immediately, of course I left my house to get down to my daughter. In the meantime I’m trying to call her and her phone just keeps going to voicemail after it rings so many times so I’m freaking out even more because I really have no idea if she’s home or if she’s in the hospital.
After my drive, I get there walk into her house. I say her name and I hear in a very childlike voice “mom is that you? “ My heart went to the pit of my stomach. She sounded so scared.
I immediately checked her over. She told me that she stayed up all night waiting for me because she was afraid to fall asleep. My heart broke. I can only imagine how scared she was. Well I got her up and we went to the ER.
She had a concussion and a TBI from hitting her head in the car accident. Pupils were dilated still. She had dizziness, nausea, confusion, memory loss and a hematoma on her forehead, multiple deep tissue bruises and a severely sprained swollen ankle(which she walked over a mile on to get help in the dark and rain).
On October 19 2025 my daughter was in a bad roll over car accident, which her car was totaled.
After the ER, of course there’s always other things that you have to do. We had to try and find her phone. We had to get her stuff out of her car. We had to find her keys. We had to get our new phone because you gotta have a phone in order to do anything. We had to get a drivers license and wallet. So we went to where they were keeping the car and when I saw the condition that the car was in, I literally just started crying. I could not believe that she actually walked away from that. And thank God for airbags.
Doing all of this extra, even though she wasn’t really doing too much of it completely wore her out and I felt so bad.
Prior to this accident she had just lost her job.
So now her car is totaled, she is healing from all of this but is still suffering from stabbing migraines and fatigue, she doesn’t have a job, lives on her own and lives 2 1/2 hours away from me.
So I have been traveling down for a month now to be with her four days a week to help her out and she also has a wonderful friend named Dawn who picks up the other three days and stays with her and helps her out. Thank you Dawn.

Recovery is going well but is definitely going to be a journey.
Her doctor says that it will be several weeks to months to heal completely.
Not only is she healing from injury’s she is also going to need to heal from the anxiety of getting behind the wheel of another car.
Financially this is a struggle for a single young woman.

Ashley is a very independent young woman who feels bad if she asks for help.
She has been on her own basically since she’s been 18 and has done it on her own .
So I’m asking if you could donate to help her get through this hard time and back on her feet, it would be greatly appreciated.
