Please help us support Ashley and her three children while she recovers from abdominal surgery

John has known Ashley since childhood: she was raised by her grandparents next door and is close in age to his daughter, Kati. As an adult she has navigated many difficulties, including the death of her longtime partner.

Ashley has always worked tirelessly, currently as a self-employed housecleaner. But she’s among the millions of Americans whose finances can't withstand days, much less weeks, of unemployment.

Ashley’s doctor has told her that surgery is essential to treat a debilitating and potentially life-threatening condition. Her three children, ages five to sixteen, depend on her income, and she will be off work for at least eight weeks.
