Since 2024, my sister has been fighting a battle doctors once believed she wouldn’t survive beyond 13 months. Now here we are in 2026, and she’s still here, still fighting. Her next milestone is reaching 2 years the longest survival time anyone we know has had with this condition.
After taking a short break from treatment since last Thanksgiving, she started again on March 9th. Her new treatment plan is intense: a combination of two different chemotherapy drugs, radiation treatments in between, and then more chemotherapy afterward.
During the break from treatment, the cancer unfortunately progressed. The lymph nodes in her chest grew, causing severe shortness of breath and chest pain. New spots have appeared near her pancreas, and other areas have grown as well. Because of this, her doctors are now escalating her treatment in hopes of slowing the disease.
At the start of the year she had to switch insurance plans, and the new coverage comes with much higher co-pays, making the cost of care much harder to manage.
My sister is not just fighting for herself she’s fighting for her son, who means everything to her. He is her entire world, and she wants nothing more than the chance to watch him grow up.
I’m asking for support on her behalf. Every donation, prayer, and share helps give her another chance to keep fighting and more precious time with her son.
If you’re able to help in any way, it would mean more than words can express to our family.
