On 2/25/25, my sister Ashley had to take her dog, Willow, to urgent care, where she received heartbreaking news—Willow had a tumor the size of a baseball on her spleen. Hoping for the best, Ashley scheduled an appointment with a specialist.

The next morning, Willow began showing signs of distress, and Ashley rushed her to the emergency vet. She was faced with an incredibly difficult decision: say goodbye to Willow or proceed with surgery to remove her spleen with the tumor and test the tumor for cancer. After much thought, she chose to move forward with the surgery, determined to give Willow a fighting chance.

Thankfully, Willow made it through the procedure and is now recovering. She mostly just wants her space as she heals. Her prognosis is pending test results.
