Hi, my name is Amanda and I'd like to tell you about my friend Ashley. We met during her first summer as a lifeguard in Rockaway Beach, and it was instantly clear that she was one of the most charismatic, kind, and hardest working individuals I had ever encountered. Ashley is the type of person that is always there to help any and everyone, even on the days when she is exhausted from juggling school and a full time job.

For many years, Ashley has aspired to become a nurse, but financial limitations have made it difficult. Last semester she was able to begin her nursing school journey...my girl even got all A's! (I am not surprised) Unfortunately she was denied the loan for this semester and is contemplating hanging up her dreams of becoming a nurse.

I believe in the number of people that Ashley has made smile with her beautiful personality and boundless empathy. I believe in our ability to come together as a community to make sure one of our own doesn't have to lose hope in their dreams. I believe in Ashley's ability to be an incredible nurse because of her ability to connect with anyone and everyone. That's just her nature.
