Hi, I'm Ashley, the heart and soul behind Sable Sweets, a small bakery born from love, family and a passion for baking. I'm launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for a new farm stand in West Indianapolis, a stepping stone toward one of many dreams of creating a vibrant farmers market that brings fresh baked goods, vegetables, and local products to inner-city families. My love for baking began in my childhood, surrounded by the warmth of my family and baked goods made by my mother and uncle. Their desserts were the true stars of our Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. While some families centered their celebrations around the main course, ours revolved around a table overflowing with cakes, pies and cookies. Those cherished memories inspired me to become a cottage baker and share my sweets. What started as a way to bring joy to friends, family and neighbors has grown into a thriving small business, and now, with your support, I'm ready to take Sable Sweets to the next level.

Your donations will help me build a sturdy, permanent farm stand to serve our community, even in Indiana's unpredictable weather. The funds will cover materials, and my fiance', unbeknownst to him, will lend his handyman skills to bring this vision to life. This stand is the first piece of a larger puzzle: a full fledged farmers market to address the food desert in our area, offering fresh, affordable, and locally made goods to families who need them most.
