Help Ashley and Wynnter Recover

Hi my name is Ashley Callahan, I really was reluctant on doing this but I feel I have no other choice. I had my baby Wynnter 4 weeks early on Monday 7-7-2025. They delivered me early due to high blood pressure and preeclampsia. I went in at 7 and they did a foley balloon bc inducing me wasn’t a good option due to this being my second vbac. They went to remove the balloon that should have fallen out at 4cm dialated and I was a 6 and the balloon had been misplaced. Well when they removed the balloon it broke my water and luckily the doctor had her hand there when it happened bc my babies cord had prolapsed. If u don’t know what this means, it means that my baby would have passed if the doctor didn’t hold my baby and cord in place. She rode the bed with me to the OR sat on the operating table and held my babies cord and head while they did an emergency c section. Now I didn’t have a epidural as I was going all natural so they had to put me fully to sleep. Willie they removed the baby in three minutes I was back there 2 1/2 hours bc they took my tubes and I hemorrhaged and they had to fix the bleeding. Had to have a blood transfusion. Well while I was in the hospital I complained of resistance to urinate and pain while trying to. They did a culture that came back Friday with a infection that could only be treated with iv antibiotics. Well when u do a emergency general anesthesia c section they aren’t fully able to clean u so u are more susceptible to getting a infection. Well Sunday I noticed my incision had a very foul odor like a rotting smell. So now I also have that infection they r treating. I still have a long road ahead of me. Baby is doing much better dealing with some mild jaundice and reflux. When she was born she had to go to the NICU when first born due to her having breathing issues such as grunting and pausing breathing. That was mainly from breathing in amniotic fluid. While I’ve been in the hospital my husband has been off work and when u move paycheck to paycheck it’s hard to be off work for so long. He is back to work now but we have so many bills that were/are due and we seem to not be able to catch a break. If u r able to donate anything it’s a help.
