Help Ashley and Her Daughters Through Cancer Battle

Hi, my name is Ashley Mathis and I am a single mom of 4 girls, Aundrea, Tesla, Isabella and Jewel. 18,16,13 & 8 years old.

Last Dec I was in complete shock when I found out a birth mark on my groin turned out to be melanoma. By mid Jan I had the mark and surrounding areas removed. FMLA paid for 6 weeks time off.

By the end of April a mass located next to the incision site began to hurt. Commonly this is a fluid collection, and the doctors were not urgently concerned. After extracting, melanoma cells were found in the fluid.

Mid June I had my right lymph nodes removed, using the other 6 weeks of FMLA. One node was 10 cm and the size of a grapefruit! The good news the cancer has not metastasized. But the bad news, I still have cancer on the left.

Switching to different drugs to kill the cancer, my feet started going numb ‍♀️ Now being giving mass steroids to reverse the effects, the cancer is still growing.

Soon the docs will put me on diff anti-cancer drugs where I can continue to work my full time job, hopefully. Also, I was just gifted A Lot of RSO and am hoping this will be my miracle!

Melanoma is one of the top 5 most aggressive cancers. If we can’t slow it, I will need more surgery this year. I have met my out of pocket for medical expenses so I will not have to pay for the surgery! But I have used all of my FMLA/PTO and unable to cover another 6 weeks being off work.

Being a single mom I have Always been able to support myself and my kids. We are asking for any contributions only to help pay for monthly bills during my recovery. Anything helps and we would be forever grateful ❤️
