Help Ashleigh on her Journey to Compete in the Gaucho Derby

I am proud to be an Accepted rider to compete in the Gaucho Derby, February 2026. This is a 500 kilometer horse 'race' in glorious, wild Patagonia in Argentina.

Over the next year and a half, it will be Ride in the Rain business as usual. I will also be busy preparing for the Derby (including some Endurance riding Bootcamps in Bend, OR with Stevie Delahunt) as well as hitting the Fundraising hard. Any money raised beyond the actual expenses (Entry, Kit, Flights) will be donated to Washington Wildlife First. The Entry fee is substantial, and I am so genuinely appreciative of any and all financial assistance.

When was it ever cheap to ride a horse?

2026 will be my 40th trip around the sun. I am buzzing with excitement to learn some new skills and horse around on the other side of the equator. Here's to the next decade!
