Hi, my name is Niko, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe for my wife, Ashlee. Watching her live in constant pain for years - going from one doctor to another without answers - has been heartbreaking. After endless appointments and testing, she finally found a doctor who truly listened and took the time to see her symptoms for what they were.

She was recently diagnosed with Nutcracker Syndrome and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, two rare vascular conditions that explain the severe kidney and pelvic pain, blood in the urine, and exhaustion she’s been living with for so long.

While finally having an accurate diagnosis brings relief and validation, it also comes with shock and fear for what comes next - a complex, life-changing surgery called renal auto transplantation. During this procedure, her kidney will be removed and re-implanted in a new location to restore normal blood flow and relieve the crushing vein compression that has been damaging her kidney and surrounding vessels.

This surgery offers her the best chance at living without constant pain and fatigue, but it also comes with a long healing process, time away from work, and significant out-of-pocket expenses.
