My name is Ashlee, and I am reaching out for support as I pursue a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in Europe. I will be traveling to London, Berlin, Paris, and Vienna to explore how European psychologists and their medical systems are using mindfulness and positive psychology to improve mental wellness. This journey will also take me to the heart of Vienna, where I will visit the historic practice of Sigmund Freud and learn about the origins of trauma care during World War I, when Austrian pioneers first responded to cases of 'shell shock.'

This experience is not just about travel—it's about deepening my understanding of psychology and mental health from a global perspective. The funds I raise will help cover 6 hours of university credit, housing in central city hostels, daily breakfast, all required museum visits, 24/7 Catalyst staff support, and travel between these incredible cities. Every contribution will help me access the resources and experiences I need to bring new insights back to my future practice.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to study my major in Europe and to see firsthand how this field has been shaped outside of western culture. Visiting the very places where some of the most influential figures in psychology lived and worked will inspire me to make a difference in my own community.
