Help Asheville Heal

I'm Heather McDonald of Pittsburgh Pa. My sister lives in Asheville. The devastation there is unbelievable from the ground. When final reports come out, this will be a human tragedy. For my western Pa folks, the flood path damage is similar to the tragic floods we've had in Pennsylvania where rivers flow through mountains. There are general GoFundMe campaigns for Helene victims and other wonderful organizations taking donations, buy this campaign is Buncombe County-specific in case you wish to donate and prefer to use GoFundMe.

Asheville and the surrounding towns are an incredibly beautiful, welcoming, vibrant community full of art, music, and breweries. The people are wonderfully inclusive and kind. What they are going through right now is in many cases unimaginable. Chimney Rock, Swannanoa, and Biltmore Village have been essentially wiped away. The Flower Bridge is gone. Lake Lure is unrecognizable. Food, water, and gas are being rationed and it's almost impossible to get out of the area. Please consider donating. Let's help this community heal and rebuild.

All proceeds will be donated directly to Buncombe County relief efforts at the discretion of the rescue teams and support services on the ground.
