As many of you know, our sweet Asher Boo has been battling cancer, at just three years old. On October 16, 2024 our lives changed forever when he was diagnosed with Stage III, Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma. We were devastated and heartbroken, and have faced many ups and downs during his cancer journey. However, we know that God's plan is bigger, and He has kept Asher and our family strong through it all.
Since his diagnosis our world has revolved around his treatment and care. Asher is currently on a 42-week treatment plan that includes weekly chemotherapy, eight weeks of proton radiation therapy in Atlanta, and maintenance chemotherapy. The journey has been filled with two surgical biopsies, two surgeries to place his Port and G-Tube, countless hospital and clinic visits, scans (MRI's, PET and CT), long stays away from home, and the constant challenge of managing his care.
I unfortunately lost my job recently when I ran out of FMLA leave. Being Asher's primary caregiver and caring for his everchanging needs has made it impossible for me to return to the office full time during the most difficult stages of his treatment. This loss of income, having to switch insurance, and starting over with deductibles and out of pocket expenses is making it even more difficult to keep up with the mounting costs. However, being Asher's mommy is truly the greatest blessing. I am very grateful to be able to focus solely on caring for my sweet boy during this journey.
Through it all, Asher has shown incredible bravery and resilience. His big cheesy smile, loving Christian heart, and unwavering spirit have kept us going, even on the toughest days. Some days, you’d never know he’s fighting cancer; on others, the toll is all too clear. Our family and friends have been a tremendous support, and we are forever grateful for every prayer and act of kindness everyone has shared with us.
Asher’s strength and resilience continue to inspire us daily. We couldn't be more proud of how he bravely faces each challenge with courage and faith. We are trusting God to continue healing our sweet boy. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of Asher’s ongoing medical treatments, including our extended stay in Atlanta, and the many supplies he needs for his G-tube feedings, medications and mounting medical bills.
We appreciate any support you can offer to help us continue to provide Asher with all that he needs to successfully navigate this difficult journey. We thank you, in advance, for standing with Asher and our family during these tough times.
We love you more!
