Hi, my name is Asher. I’m 23 years old and a transgender man, and I’m raising funds to help cover the cost of my top surgery.

This surgery is not just cosmetic for me. It’s life-changing and medically necessary. Top surgery will allow me to feel at home in my body, move through the world with more confidence, and live more authentically as myself. Every day without it comes with discomfort, dysphoria, and limitations that affect my mental health and overall quality of life.

I am currently in a position where my insurance will not cover the procedure, leaving me to pay fully out of pocket. On top of that, the current political climate has made access to gender-affirming care increasingly uncertain and, at times, unsafe. Laws and restrictions continue to shift, and there is a real urgency to access this care while I still can. This isn’t something I can afford to put off indefinitely.
