Kitty Cat Eye Surgery Fund

Donation protected
My sister and I have been rescuing cats and kittens for awhile. Pregnant mommas, bottle babies, sick kitties... Most have found new homes, some have found a home with us.

And then there's this baby.. This is Asher. She was about 7 weeks old when we captured her. Her and her sister were both born outside, during the rainy season.... so they both ended up with URIs. Her sister was much better off than Asher- as Asher had already had most of her eyes eaten away by bacteria.

It took hours to round Asher up, even though she was/is blind. She's got amazing hearing and knew her area very well. When we finally cornered her, I grabbed her and she bit the crap out of my hand (to which I had treated). But I didn't let her go. We put her in the carrier and took her home. 2 days and a checkup later, she's eating and purring. Climbing all over us for love and affection, thanking us for saving her.

Flash forward to now: I've had her for about 2 years now... I've maintained her vaccinations and am keeping her eyes clean, but she still needs her eye surgery and spay, which I plan to have done at the same time (as she does not like carriers at all and feels trapped). But because we fund everything out of our own pockets, coming up with the money has been really hard.

All of the money will go towards her eye surgery and spay surgery. Her entire surgery cost will be just over $1000. Whatever is left, I will pay myself.

Once she's all healed up, I'll be looking to finally find her forever home.. She's the longest foster I've had.
