We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our sweet puppy, Ashe, who has suffered a painful fracture in her leg and now urgently needs surgery and rehabilitation.

Ashe is just 8 months old—an Italian Greyhound puppy who has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. She was born in August 2025 in a puppy mill in Korea and was later returned by her first owners, unwanted due to skin issues.

When we first met Ashe, she was fragile—underweight, covered in rashes, and clearly in need of care and love. We made the decision to help her heal, covering her medical treatment and re-homed her to Canada in December 2025 to give her a fresh start.

Since then, Ashe has blossomed. She’s grown stronger, more confident, and full of life. She formed an instant bond with her big sister, Powder, and the two have become inseparable. Watching her finally experience joy, safety, and love has meant everything to us.

What Happened

On the evening of April 23rd, while simply playing with Powder, Ashe suffered a devastating accident—she broke her front right leg. Italian Greyhounds are known to have fragile limbs, and we believe her difficult start in life, including malnutrition, may have made her even more vulnerable.

We rushed her to an emergency vet, and she was later transferred to a specialized hospital. Ashe is now in the care of the incredible team at Animal Health Partners in Toronto, waiting for the surgery she urgently needs.

How You Can Help

The cost of Ashe’s surgery alone is estimated to be around $9,000, with additional expenses for emergency care, follow-ups, and rehabilitation.

After everything Ashe has been through, we just want to give her the chance to run, play, and grow without pain. She’s still just a puppy, and without this surgery, her injury could affect her for the rest of her life.
