I am a parent to three wonderful children, and lately, life has thrown us some tough challenges. After purchasing a car as-is, I’ve been working hard to keep things together, but recently, my accounts were shut down due to suspected fraud. This left me with a negative balance and unable to access the money I need for rent and daily expenses. My godfather tried to send me a Christmas present, but I couldn’t receive it because of these account issues. Now, I’m waiting for paperwork to verify my identity, but it’s been a long and stressful process, especially with ongoing fraud concerns that forced me to lock my credit.
Recently, I was pulled over and arrested for questioning an officer about why I was being stopped and not giving him identification until I knew why I was getting pulled over. I wasn’t speeding, and I truly felt I was being racially profiled. This experience has been deeply unsettling, and I now suspect that my car may be linked to the fraud issues I’ve been facing. I managed to get a new car, but it needs repairs before I can get back on the road and return to work. With rent due and the need to move into a new place by the first, I’m worried about keeping my family safe and secure. The financial strain has been overwhelming, and I’m doing everything I can to make sure my children and I don’t end up homeless.
Any support you can offer will go directly toward helping us move into a safe home and fixing my car so I can get back to work. Thank you so much, anything helps. Your kindness means the world to me and my family.
