Hi, my name is Ash, and I’m fundraising to receive a medical alert and mobility service dog that will help me live a safer, more independent life.
Daily life can be unpredictable and, at times, unsafe for me due to my medical needs. A service dog would be trained to alert to high heart rate, provide deep pressure therapy, assist with mobility support, and perform guard/circling tasks to help create space and increase my sense of safety in public. These tasks aren’t just helpful — they are life-changing.
A professionally trained service dog would allow me to move through the world with confidence instead of fear. It would help me regain independence, reduce medical risks, and provide consistent support when I need it most. Simply put, a service dog would give me back parts of my life that my disability has taken away.
Unfortunately, service dogs are not covered by insurance, and the cost is significant.
What the funds will be used for:
• Professional service dog training
• Medical alert and mobility task training
• The service dog itself
• Equipment and gear (vest, leash, harness, mobility tools)
• Veterinary care and vaccinations
• Travel and program-related expenses
• Ongoing training support
The total cost is $30,000 which is why I’m reaching out for help. This amount reflects the years of training, care, and expertise required to create a reliable, life-saving service dog.
Asking for help does not come easily, but I know I cannot do this alone. Every donation, share, and kind word brings me closer to a future where I can feel safe, supported, and independent again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and for being part of this journey. I will be sharing updates along the way and am endlessly grateful for any support.
With love and gratitude,
Ash
