Help Ash Rebuild and Finish Her PhD After a Devastating House Fire**
Hi, I’m Steve, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my friend Ash, a dedicated PhD student. Ash has been tirelessly working on her research, which focuses on understanding how bacterial pathogens adapt to their environments—a study that could lead to new treatments for antibiotic-resistant infections.
Unfortunately, due to delays related to COVID-19 and unforeseen circumstances, Ash was entering the final stages of her dissertation without funding for living expenses. Over the past year, she has been in a difficult financial situation, relying on the support of friends and family to get by.
Then disaster struck. In the early hours of April 1st, a fire broke out in the basement of Ash’s home in Brighton, Massachusetts, quickly spreading and destroying the house. Ash and her roommates made it out okay, but five of them, along with a firefighter, were hospitalized. Their home is now uninhabitable, and Ash lost her clothes, personal belongings, everything.
Despite these overwhelming challenges, Ash is determined to complete her dissertation. She is just one month away from finishing her PhD, but she needs our help to get there.
We are raising funds to assist Ash with the following:
- Temporary housing and basic necessities
- medical expenses unrelated to the fire
- Living expenses to allow her to focus on completing her dissertation
I’ve known Ash for years and have witnessed her unwavering commitment to her research and her resilience in the face of adversity. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Ash rebuild her life and complete her PhD. Thank you for your support!!
