We are organizing a fundraiser on behalf of one of our longest standing farm crew members. If you have a little extra time please take a moment to read and consider making a donation.
Ashleigh’s been part of our farm team since the beginning and now they are going back to school to become an Emergency Medical Technician. The Michigan Reconnect program is covering most of the program costs, but it does not cover course fees or text books, which are expensive$$$
This is an intensive program that meets 4-5 days a week. Anyone who's ever gone to school full time during the day and worked nights knows how hard it is to juggle classes, homework, work and still have time to do things like sleep. We are putting up a fundraiser to collect donations to help her cover some of these costs so they can work a bit less this semester. Every dollar you donate will be more time Ash can spend focused on on their emergency medical training and less time they will need to spend working second shift in to cover these additional costs.
Ashleigh has been a frontline worker all through the pandemic, farming and doing construction by day or working their factory job by night. Now they’ll be continuing their education so they’ll be able to offer frontline medical services to people when they need it most. Ashleigh definitely deserves to have time for self care and a good night's sleep while doing that!!
If everyone donates even $5, $10, $20 it’ll be enough to cover all the course fees. Every little bit counts! Thank you for supporting the health of your community by supporting the folks working hard to take care of us all!
In gratitude always,
Your friendly neighborhood farmers
