Help Ash get Walking Aid for home

Hi my name is Leigh, I’m fundraising for a very dear friend of mine Ashley Williams.

Please take a few moments to read his story and the progress he’s already made.

On Thursday 1st April 2021 Ashley was violently attacked with a bottle in Bedworth. This left him with serious Head injuries aswell as many others to follow.

Ash had a big bleed on the brain so he had to have an emergency operation to remove it which caused him to have two strokes and he was in a coma for a few weeks.

He stayed at coventry university hospital for a couple months then went to,

leamington rehabilitation hospital for four and half months and then to Hawthorne house where he’s been for seven months.

Ashleys mum Michelle has finally got a home for them both that’s suitable for Ashley to be back where he needs to be. After what seems a lifetime for all family and friends, I can’t imagine how it’s felt for Ashley and how much he’s needed to be home. 30th may Ashley is due to go back home. He is still going to need full time care and rehabilitation as he is still in a wheelchair and can not do a lot for himself.

For Ashley to still progress with the amazing progress he has already made he will need some specialised medical equipment for when he is home. This is help him to carry on learning to walk. Something that was never thought would be possible and now he is doing brilliantly so it’s something that must be carried on.

With everything Ashley and his family have already been through it would be nice for everyone to come together to raise money for our Ash to come home and recover to the full extent he can.

The equipment Ashley needs is £1059, I have put the fundraising amount higher just so the move home is that little easier for Ashley and Michelle.
