Help Ash get through the biggest health challenge she has faced to date.

Hi everyone, as you know Ash has always had multiple health battles with her eyes and crohns disease. She has always used a large majority of her personal leave and annual leave to cover specialist appointments, operations and recovery times needed.

This last week has been a rollercoaster of emotions. Ash was taken to emergency with no vision in her right (good) eye. After being assessed by doctors it was discovered that 2/3 of her retina had come unattached along with a part of her macular as well.

The specialist had to use a silicon oil in Ash’s eye to reattach the retina and macular. The operation went well but the kicker is Ash will have to have this oil in her eye for a minimum of 3 months to 6 month period which distorts vision.

This would not be a problem if her left eye could see, but unfortunately she has been legally blind in her left eye from 15 years of age. Which leaves her unable to drive, get around by herself or work until the oil is removed and she has recovered from that procedure.

We all know how fiercely independent Ash is and how she likes to not complain and just get on with her life being the positive and bright person she is. However, this time we really need your help to get through such a difficult time.
