Asema Karasartova is only 16 years old. She should be finishing 11th grade, preparing for graduation, and thinking about university and her dreams. Instead, she is fighting Stage 5 kidney failure. Asema has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (Stage 5) due to chronic glomerulonephritis. Her kidneys have stopped functioning properly, and she now depends on regular hemodialysis to stay alive. Because of her condition, Asema had to stop going to school during her final year. What should have been a year of exams and celebrations has turned into hospital visits, medical procedures, and physical exhaustion. She suffers from severe weakness, constant fatigue, swelling of her face and limbs, pain, reduced urination, anemia, and serious metabolic complications.

Doctors have confirmed that dialysis is only temporary. The only long-term solution is a kidney transplant. Her older sister, Jazgul, has made an incredible sacrifice—she is willing to donate one of her kidneys to save Asema’s life. The transplant surgery is planned to be performed in India, where doctors are prepared to carry out the procedure. However, the total cost of the surgery and medical care is overwhelming for Asema’s family. They are doing everything they can, but they cannot raise this sum alone. Time is critical. Asema deserves to return to school. She deserves to graduate. She deserves a future beyond dialysis.
