My son, Asah, attends a truly special school—one created primarily for neurodivergent children, where compassion, patience, and understanding are not optional, but foundational. Although Asah himself is not neurodivergent, I intentionally chose this school because I deeply believe in what it stands for and what it teaches all children.

In a world that is evolving quickly and often feels divided, I believe compassion must be learned early. And what better place to begin than in school? At Asah’s school, children are taught to see differences not as obstacles, but as opportunities for connection. Empathy is not taught from a textbook—it is practiced daily. Students learn alongside peers who experience the world differently, guided by kindness, respect, and care. Asah is learning to slow down, listen, support others, and recognize that every person deserves dignity.

This environment has shaped Asah in beautiful and lasting ways. He is becoming more thoughtful, more emotionally aware, and more grounded in the understanding that humanity is not one-size-fits-all. Here, school is not just about academics—it is about who we become. This GoFundMe campaign is being created to help support Asah’s continued education in this environment.
