Help Asa Walker Overcome Leukemia
Donation protected
Hi friends and family. As most of you know, sweet Asa was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia yesterday. Poor sweet boy came down with croup and couldn't breathe, so he was taken to the emergency room. They discovered his bloodwork was a mess, his liver was twice the normal size, and they quickly transported him to the children's hospital in Ft. Myers. It was that same night the Hematologist gave the gut-wrenching news to his parents. Monday, Asa had a bone marrow biopsy to confirm every parent's worst nightmare. Sweet baby boy will have a port inserted into his heart today to start him on Chemotherapy. They are treating him as high risk and wasting no time. All of you, like me, want to help this family of 8 in any way possible. I have talked with Kim, Asa's grandma, and we feel this fundraising would be the best possible way to help. The money will be used to help with Asa's treatments, gas, food, childcare while his parents are at the hospital, and generally to make Asa more comfortable as he endures this horrible journey no child should ever have to endure. Asa is a sweet boy who loves dinosaurs, chocolate waffles still frozen, riding bikes with his brother and swimming. We hope and pray he will get back to all the things he loves very very soon. Megan appreciates everyone's thoughts, prayers and help.
