ASA'S AWESOME ART PLAN

My name is Asa and I am a young artist with autism. I am grateful for all the incredible people in my life that have raised me, taught me, and supported my art through my childhood.

I live with my mom and my two sisters. My mom is a single mother who has fought so hard to give me everything I ever needed to reach my full potential in my education and the pursuit of my talents.

Art was one of the tools many therapists used to help me express myself emotionally when I did not have the words to communicate. Art helped me understand myself and be understood by those around me. My family allowed me to be creative, and they will never know how important that was for me.

Recently, my mom has been diagnosed with lymphoma and autoimmune disease. She is fighting so hard to be healthy and strong, and more than ever, I need to be my mom's hero.

A few months ago, we moved out of a home that was flagged by the city for a severe gas leak, black mold, and illegal building codes. The move was so hard on my mom and my sisters. Even though many of the issues affected my mom's health, all my mom cared about was my mental health and happiness.

I have decided to start this GoFundMe to raise money through my art, so that I can give back to people that have given me so much. I know my mom is always worrying about my future, and I really need her to know that I am okay and I can take care of her for once.

I want to make a difference for other autistic children and adults through my art. This startup goal will hopefully help me establish a digital and traditional art business as a source of income that will eventually support my publishing career in children's books.

My plans are to host my first-ever gallery exhibition in both Los Angeles and New York, as well as enroll in art festivals like Art Basel. Funds will go toward building the perfect home studio for all my digital art equipment. A portion of the money raised will go to setting up an Amazon Storefront to sell my artwork in digital prints, creating writing journals with prompts for neurodivergents like myself, coloring and activity books, and on-demand printing for greeting card box collections and other merchandise like coffee mugs, tumblers, t-shirts, hoodies, hats, cell phone cases, tablet skins, and whatever else my art can be printed on...

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and give me the blessing to be a blessing to my family, others and fund my dream.
