Help Aryn Heal: Surgery and Recovery Fund

TL;DR - When I rubbed my forehead last week and said "can we get a break" I should have been more specific.

My sweet desert angel, Aryn, took a spill coming off our front porch and shattered her elbow. I was coming home from working in Colorado and even after a drive from Boulder and a flight from Denver I was still able to sit with her for 4 of the 12 hours she was in the ER. After attempting to reset the elbow (twice, ouch!) and doing scans and tests they have decided she will go in for surgery to replace the radial head in her right arm this Wednesday (7/2).

We are unsure of how her recovery will go or how long it will take. Based on the experience in the ER it does have the potential to be a long and painful process that will keep her from working and living a normal life for some time.

Aside from the obvious pain, medical procedures and inability to do her normal tasks, this is a difficult position for our family. Thanks to Aryn we have good insurance but even with that the medical costs are high. More of the impediment comes from missing work. Aryn will get a percentage of her income while recovering from the surgery but not all. I stay local during the summer to care for our son while he isn't in school and now will be caring for Aryn as well, affecting my income.

This sucks pretty badly for so many reasons and any help will alleviate some of the stress of maintaining our home and family while also adding new expenses from the medical bills.

So happy to have such good people in our life and thank you all so much for kind messages and offers of help. Can't stop crying.
