Hi folks,

As many of you know, my beloved dog Arya (Bean) has been having some increased health issues this year and is now urgently needing a dental to treat her severe dental disease.

Anyone who knows me knows Arya, she's my sidekick, my best friend, and my first pet in adulthood. It's been the biggest privilege of my life to be her advocate and to grow with her since she entered my care as a 5 week old neglected baby. I've always been dedicated to doing what I can for her, even though I have often struggled to take the same care of myself. Arya is priceless to me, but unfortunately we still live under capitalism so her care does have a substantial price.

For context, in the last 6 months, I have spent nearly $5k on Arya's care with repeated lab work, specialist visits, x-rays, ultrasounds, medication, and prescription diets. Up until this point, I've thankfully been able to shoulder these increased costs through CareCredit, savings, or personal credit cards but I've reached the point of needing to ask our community for help.

A brief list of Arya's current medical considerations:

While her neck was healing, I've been jumping through countless hoops, getting multiple opinions on how to get her a dental without putting her at too much risk between her neurological condition & unknown liver issues. It's finally been approved and I have scheduled the dental for 1 month from today, January 28th.

The quote I was given from her vet for the procedure is $2,300-2,900 but it could end up being more depending on how many extractions are needed (it will be many, if not all of her teeth).

I'm seeking help coming up with the funds for this dental procedure because it is overdue, could be contributing to her liver issues, and will substantially increase her quality of life. If you've met her, you know this little tiny dog has enough spunk to outlast us all and she deserves the best.

There are so many great causes to support, and so many people in deep need (that I never shut up about) so I feel very conflicted about asking for anything especially during this time of year when we're all spread so incredibly thin.
