I am starting this fundraiser to help a dear friend save his fur baby, Arya. Arya is a 10-year-old rescue German Shepherd who has been by his side since his college days. She isn’t just a pet; she’s his emotional support, hiking partner, travel buddy, and constant companion. Anyone who knows him knows Arya is a huge part of his life: his world!

Earlier this week, Arya had to undergo emergency surgery after vets discovered a dangerous growth on her spleen. Her spleen had to be removed to save her life. While she made it through surgery, an ultrasound revealed another mass between her kidney and bladder, which will require further treatment and possibly another surgery. The medical costs have quickly become overwhelming. Even with the pet insurance he has responsibly maintained since adopting her, the remaining expenses will still be thousands of dollars. My friend is doing everything he can to manage the bills, and his family is helping where they can, but the sudden emergency has created a heavy financial hardship.

When the vets said surgery was needed, there was never a question. Arya is family, and she deserves every chance to keep fighting. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount; it will go directly toward Arya’s medical care. If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world.
