In Armenia, countless animals need medical care, but not every animal has someone who can afford to help them. For stray dogs and cats, a serious illness, an injury, or a medical emergency can mean the difference between life and death.

ArtVet Veterinary Clinic is making a difference.

ArtVet is a veterinary clinic in Armenia that cares not only for family pets but also for stray animals, providing veterinary assistance to those who cannot afford it and to animals who have no one to pay for their treatment. Their work gives vulnerable animals a second chance and offers hope to those who might otherwise be left suffering on the streets. So far ArtVet has taken care of countless stray animals, through generous discounts from 30 to 100%. These righteous doings are not profit based, and, though, help care for operational costs, certainly, makes it difficult to acquire new equipment to become more helpful and save thrice as more lives.

That said, helping animals in need requires more than compassion; it also requires the right medical equipment.

Help Us Bring Essential Ultrasound Equipment to ArtVet

We are raising funds to help ArtVet Clinic acquire an ultrasound machine that will allow veterinarians to examine animals more effectively, investigate internal health problems, and support the diagnosis and treatment of patients who need urgent care. Furthermore, there are strictly limited opportunities for training veterinarians to gain experience and practice in specialised spheres such as sonography. Hence, ArtVet is eager to encourage and provide such practice, internships and training to those who want to advance their skills in veterinary medicine. We are already partnered with universities and provide necessary general practice to beginning and experienced veterinarians alike.

This equipment can be especially valuable when an animal cannot tell us where it hurts. Better diagnostic tools can help veterinarians make more informed decisions and determine the next steps in treatment.

For a stray animal brought in injured, sick, or frightened, access to proper diagnostics can make a meaningful difference, while there aren’t any clinics in Yerevan that perform such procedures with no cost or at discount.
