Since birth, Arturo’s life has been defined by resilience. He lost his mother at birth, and his father, Felipe, promised to raise him to be strong, faithful, and grounded in God. Together, they’ve built a life of love, hard work, and hope.

They have provided janitorial services for Autism Inspired Academy for years, where they have become part of the AIA family. Their dedication and hard work have touched our school community in countless ways. Always accommodating late night meetings and events with a smile and never inconvenienced.

Arturo’s dedication and determination led him to graduate with high academics and earn acceptance into aviation school, his lifelong dream. Now, at only 18, his future has been interrupted by a devastating health battle. What began with kidney failure has progressed to severe lung disease. He has been hospitalized many times as doctors search for answers, ranging from hereditary disease to cancer.

After his first hospitalization, he returned to work, determined to keep providing for his family. Today, bedridden, he talks about getting back to school and work to support his dad and fulfill his responsibilities and dreams.

This fight has brought tremendous financial strain. Arturo requires an expensive medication not fully covered by Medicaid to buy time while they search for a diagnosis. On top of ongoing medical care, Arturo and his dad have lost income.

Felipe and Arturo are people who always give to others and never ask for help. Now, they need US!
