Students from the Dabrowski dance school are fundraising for our very dear teacher, Artur Dabrowski, who urgently needs lifesaving treatment

Our dear friend and dance teacher, Artur, is currently facing a brain tumour known as Glioblastoma. He is undergoing urgent treatment, including brain surgery, as part of his fight against this aggressive cancer. Following this, Artur has the opportunity to receive a promising new treatment called DCVax‑L — a personalised cancer vaccine that could give him a real chance at fighting this tumour.

As part of his treatment, a sample of the tumour is used to “train” his own immune cells to recognise and attack the cancer. These cells are then reintroduced into his body, helping his immune system seek out and destroy any remaining cancer cells that surgery or standard treatments may miss.

This treatment offers something incredibly important — hope. It is showing encouraging results in patients facing the same diagnosis, and for Artur, it could make a meaningful difference in his fight right now.

However, despite being close to approval in the UK, DCVax‑L is not yet available on the NHS, and the cost is extremely high. We are asking for your support to help give Artur access to this potentially life‑changing treatment and the best possible chance for his future.

Artur is a wonderful individual who is deeply loved and respected by his students and by many in the dancing world. He is more than a highly talented teacher and respected adjudicator — he is an inspiration, a mentor, and a cherished member of our dance family. He continues to touch countless lives through his passion, kindness, and dedication.
