Walk-A-Thon: Help Fund Arts Programs for 5,200 NYC Students!
Tax deductible
Arts For All is partnering with Mika Higgins-Woo to organize a student-run Walk-A-Thon! Arts For All offers accessible artistic opportunities to children in the New York City area who face socio-economic, physical or emotional barriers to exploring the arts. In 2025, Arts For All is planning to serve 5,200 students. All proceeds go towards funding arts workshops for underserved schools and youth organizations across NYC. By Sponsoring a Walker, you can help provide arts programming to students across the city in 2025!

More About Mika:

"Hi! I’m Mika Higgins-Woo, a high school sophomore. I’m organizing a Walk-A-Thon to raise money for Arts For All.
I’m so grateful to have learned and grown so much through my own experiences rehearsing for musicals and plays as well as taking vocal and acting lessons over the past eight years. I believe that all kids deserve these experiences! Arts For All is creating opportunities for all kids to learn and grow through theater and other arts and I am eager to support them.
For this Walk-a-Thon project, I plan to walk with a group of friends who share this mission from one theater landmark in the city (the spectacular United Palace theater in Washington Heights) to another (the Broadway Theatre near Times Square). Will you join me in supporting Arts For All by sponsoring our Walk-a-Thon?"
Want to Sponsor a Walker? Make a donation, look out for the receipt in your emails for the button to leave a message of support, then write a comment with your Walker's name. We are looking to raise at least $200 per Walker: help us reach this goal by the date of the Walk-A-Thon on October 6th!
More About Arts For All:

Arts For All offers accessible artistic opportunities to children in the New York City area who face socio-economic, physical, or emotional barriers to exploring the arts. Through our programs, professional artists work with youth organizations to build self-confidence, self-expression, teamwork, resilience, and creativity in children.
We connect Teaching Artists with underserved schools and youth organizations to host workshops on: theatre, dance, music, painting, drawing, puppet making, video creation, creative writing, and more. All our programs are free of charge, thanks to generous donors like you!
In 2001, Arts For All, Inc. (AFA) began as the dream of a group of students to promote, build, and spread awareness for arts education, especially for youths. As marginalized and underserved communities in New York City continued to be deprived of arts within the education system, Arts For All (originally Community Connections) was an award-winning club at NYU which succeeded in providing accessible artistic opportunities to children in the NYC area. By 2003, the organization grew to be more than a club, later partnering with nonprofits including Children with Challenges and World Cares Center.
An independent 501c(3) organization since December of 2007, AFA is proud to build upon the scale of that initial dream. Our organization is led by seasoned educators and non-profit veterans. By 2019, we grew to serve about 2,500 students each year. As of 2023, AFA now serves about 5,000 children annually, both in-person and virtually, through four branches of programming: Artistic Residency Program, Literacy Through the Arts, Audience Project, and the Artistic Exposure Program.
We also create Virtual Classroom content on our website and Youtube channel: an educational program that provides a wealth of arts-focused content, including pre-recorded arts workshops and lessons, such as the "Mondays with Mé'' series. As of 2024, our Virtual Content has grown to a total of 192 videos between 23 different series (over 68,000 views), providing resources for educators and supplements for our in-person residencies.
