Help Artists After Devastating Theft Break-In

After packing up at Anime Matsuri (AM) in Houston, Texas, our car was broken into. The back driver side window was completely shattered while the thief took many valuables that we use for work. This includes our; work laptop, square terminal card processor, portable chargers, and more. They also took multiple boxes of our merchandise we had just restocked prior to Anime Expo in LA the weekend before.

The total damages and theft is estimated to be in the thousands. This greatly hurts our company and the work we’ve done over the past few weeks, months and years.

The most frustrating part and hardest for me to digest is that the laptop contained months of ongoing project files, completed artwork and important business documents that were non replaceable. We had been on the road for about 3 months unable to back up our files to our main system. While some were backed up to the cloud not everything was due to the file sizes. Sadly enough, it was after AM that we planned to return home to rest for a couple days and back up our files before we moved into the 2nd half of the convention season.

Moreover, we were waiting to surprise everyone with good news about a big life moment for us when we officially moved in but explaining our situation now only makes the most sense. We, less than a month ago, bought our first house and all of our money is tied up in the house and the business.

We have never been people who liked the idea of receiving handouts but at this point we have to swallow our pride, anything donated truly helps. This happened the day before we had planned to drive back 13 hours home, and this complicates a lot. We greatly appreciate everything, if you can’t afford to donate, a share is free and is also appreciated. Thank you.
