My name is Mohamed Harb, and I am an artist residing in Gaza. I write to you with a heavy heart, as my family and I face the harrowing reality of war in our homeland. As a father to a young son and three precious daughters, the devastation of conflict has left our once vibrant home in ruins, with our lives hanging in the balance.

The option of evacuation was never within our plans, but the escalating threats and dangers we face on a daily basis have left us with no choice but to seek refuge elsewhere. Each passing day brings with it the fear of imminent danger, compelling me to reach out for assistance in ensuring the safety of my beloved family.

Our neighborhood, Al-Rimal, once bustling with life, now lies in ruins. Our family home, painstakingly built by my father over the years with his hard-earned wages, has been reduced to rubble by the relentless bombardments of the Israeli occupation.

Currently displaced in Deir al-Balah, with nothing but tents to shelter us, we long for the comfort of a stable home where we can rebuild our lives and pursue our dreams. Our humble abode, adorned with artwork dating back to the 1990s, served as a haven for artistic expression and creativity.

With a heavy heart, I appeal to your generosity to help us raise $25,000, the amount needed to evacuate my family from Gaza to safety in Egypt. The escalating conflict threatens the lives of my loved ones each passing day, and your contribution could make all the difference in securing their safety and stability during these tumultuous times.

Currently, we are required to pay $5,000 for each family member to secure their passage through the Rafah crossing, totaling $30,000 for our entire family. Our current savings can secure one family member to the safe side of the border, and one month living costs in Cairo, and we remain in need of $25,000. However, even the smallest donation can help us inch closer to our goal and ensure the well-being of my family.
