We are friends and family of Ania Vogel, raising money on her behalf as she is treated for a very unexpected medical emergency this holiday season.

On Christmas Day, Ania began suffering intense stomach pain and was admitted to the hospital in Arcata, California. Doctors there found her alarmingly anemic, and with a very high white cell count.

Within 24 hours of being admitted, Ania was airlifted to the UC San Francisco Medical Center for immediate evaluation. Following multiple blood transfusions and further testing, she was formally diagnosed with Leukemia the morning of Dec 27th, 2023.

Ania is a beautiful, creative spirit who loves being in community. She has been an active belly dancer for the last decade and recently began exploring fire dance. Combining her love of design and entrepreneurial spirit, Ania co-founded tribal costume and accessories company Desert Lilies Bazaar. She is a strong supporter of small business and adores her tight-knit Humboldt County community.

The treatment plan in front of Ania will be aggressive, and the funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will directly support her and her family, making sure they can be together every step of the way. Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference.
