Help Artis Pay Medical Bills and Remodel Home

Hello my name is Abigail Banner and I am a dear friend of Artis Glenn. Artis has been married to his beautiful wife, Debra, for 29 years and they have a son and one grandchild. Artis has served his country in the United States Navy for 10 years and continued to served our community as a Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Officer. Artis has been a CMPD officer for 22 years and worked in various areas of the
department.

Artis bought a specific shoe to wear while on duty and it caused a bruise on his right foot. Within days, the bruise did not heal and became infected. The infection was so painful, Artis went to Emergency Room and was admitted. The infection has spread into his blood stream. The infection was spreading into his blood stream and causing the pain that he was experiencing. Doctors began to treat Artis and Artis was giving some life altering news. Artis was told that the infection was too severe to repair and he would need to have his right foot amputated. Artis is such a strong person, along with his wife, he made the decision to have his right foot amputated. Artis is now in the healing process both mentally and physically. The journey that Artis and Debra are on is a very unfamiliar path, but they are determined to make it. Artis has realized that he will have to end his career early as a sworn officer and will need to make some major decisions on his career. Artis spirits are very high, as he just said to me that He is Still Alive.
