Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out to our friends, family, and anyone who has been touched by a pet's unconditional love. My best friend, Artie, a sweet and spirited dog with a heart full of love, has been diagnosed with soft tissue cancer on his front left leg. Thankfully, it’s not bone cancer, but after visiting five veterinarians, it’s clear that the best step forward is amputation to stop the cancer from spreading.
The good news is, Artie’s strong and healthy otherwise, and with three legs, he could live a full, happy life for years to come. We’ll be calling him "Lucky," and he'll adjust just fine! The procedure and post-op care, however, come with a hefty price tag. Despite covering initial costs like biopsies and imaging, the amputation itself will cost upwards of $5,000.
Artie has always been there for me, and now he needs his community's support. I recently started a new career, which has been a blessing, but this emergency has caught me off guard financially. I humbly ask for any help you can offer to keep Artie happy, healthy, and cancer-free.
Your kindness will make all the difference in giving him the care he needs and allowing him to continue sharing his joyful spirit with everyone he meets.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jay and Artie (aka Lucky)
