My name is Arthur, and I’m reaching out because I recently experienced a devastating scam that resulted in the loss of my Discord account and a significant amount of my savings. After months of hard work and dedication, it’s been incredibly difficult to see everything I built disappear so quickly. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, and I’m doing my best to stay hopeful as I try to recover.
The person who scammed me was someone who hacked into a friend's account and impersonated him. The cover of the GoFundMe is the person posing as Adrienne Palmer. This person posed as a member of Discord under the tag adrienne.support and threatened me with legal action and jail time for the multiple reports that I believed were being made to my account, hence why I believed it.
How it works is that they make one account telling you that you've been reported for fraud and show you the number of reports that are going on. They told me 57 reports were made under mine. I didn't tell anyone about it since they mentioned legal liability and the law.
They had me withdraw numerous amounts of money to transfer over to CashApp, telling me that each payment of $1,000 was able to lift the reports on my account. They also had me pay in Bitcoin on CashApp, making returning it impossible.
I could recover more screenshots, but trying to enter the account that has been scammed and has all the stuff associated has been difficult. I've only been able to use the two I have right now.
The funds I’m raising will go directly toward paying my bills, supporting the people I care about, and helping me rebuild what I lost. This setback has made it hard to move forward, but I’m determined not to let it define me. Your support will help me get back on my feet and continue supporting others, just as I always have.
If you’re reading this, I want to share a warning: if someone randomly asks you for money, please be careful—it could be a scam that can seriously ruin you. I know because it happened to me. Any help you can offer, whether big or small, would mean the world to me as I work to recover and move forward. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my journey.
EDIT: I found out today that it was not actually $4000 I mentioned that at first since I was in a panic and misread the amount of transactions that happened I actually lost $2000 so there's that.
I also ran into a roadblock where after getting back in they went back and deleted there message and changed the username to lucky_raccon_29220
