Good day everyone! My name is Artem, and three years ago I came to the USA from Ukraine under a program for Ukrainians (the U4U program). This program is designed for Ukrainians and requires document renewal every two years. I have been waiting for my documents to be renewed for a year now, and during all this time I have not been able to work because my work permit expired in December 2024. During this year, I've had to take on significant debt, and the people who are helping me are also finding it very difficult to support me at the moment.
On December 6th, I received a preliminary extension of my documents. However, in order to receive my documents granting me the right to work and extend my status, I need to pay a new immigration tax. Otherwise, I will be considered an illegal immigrant. This amount is currently unrealistic for me, as I've been unemployed for a year and have no money at all. I am forced to ask for your help!
