Help ART HOM with medical & day to day expenses
Donation protected
Art was enjoying his Easter Sunday, going for a walk at 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters, MO. He arrived home, and called his sister, Linda, concerned because he had a very bad headache come on suddenly. She convinced him to go to the hospital & be checked out, as he had a stroke in the past, and her instinct was right. She took him to Barnes in St. Peters, where they did a CT scan and found he had a brain bleed (hemorrhagic stroke). They have no neuro department there, so he was then transferred to "big" Barnes in St. Louis. He ended up having emergency surgery on Sunday night to stop a brain bleed / relieve pressure and was in ICU. The same thing happened on Tuesday (4/11) and he had to have a second surgery. He remained in ICU until Thursday (4/13), and then was transferred to the neuro floor, until he was released to go home on Thursday (4/18). He currently has a piece of his skull removed, as it was originally removed to help relieve the pressure in his brain, and will need to be put back in 2-4 months, so he is looking at another surgery in the near future. There is no time line for when or if he will be able to go back to work.
This Go Fund Me is being set up for him to help with paying his day to day expenses while he is out of work, as well as any medical bills.
