Help Arshad Access the Care and Education He Deserves

My name is Natalie Boag, and I am helping the family of Arshad to raise money for his care and education.

Meet Arshad Sadiq Suleiman, a bright and special 10-year-old boy living in Zanzibar. Arshad has been diagnosed with Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy (DEE) in August 2025 during a medical evaluation in India.

He faces frequent seizures every month, cannot speak, is not yet toilet trained, and relies on diapers. Despite these challenges, Arshad has so much potential — and his family dreams of giving him the therapies, education, and medical support he needs to thrive.

Raising a child with DEE and autism in Zanzibar is incredibly difficult. There is very little public awareness, and families often struggle without access to proper schools, therapies, or community support.

Arshad currently needs speech therapy, occupational therapy (OT), and behavioral therapy, which could make a world of difference in his development.

Doctors have encouraged his parents to start him in school as soon as possible, where he would benefit from social interaction, structured learning, and engagement with peers. His family hopes to enroll him at S.O.S School, where he will have the chance to grow, learn, and experience the joy of being part of a supportive community.

The funds raised will help cover:

  • School fees at S.O.S School

  • Essential therapies (speech, OT, behavioral therapy)

  • Medical costs, including ongoing check-ups and seizure management

  • Diapers, medication, and dietary needs that are vital to his daily care

His mother’s dream is simple but powerful: “My hope is for him to be independent one day, and for the seizures to stop. I believe with the right support, his life will change for the better.”

Arshad is just like any other child — full of possibility — but he needs extra care and resources to reach his potential. With your generosity, we can give him a brighter future filled with dignity, inclusion, and hope.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings Arshad closer to the support he deserves.
