Update
Thanks:
  • I could like to take this time to thank every one of you for your help and kind words. We are not quite there to reach our goal but I wanna thank everyone who shared, donated, and support us through this hard time. I appreciate it a lot.

Update on how Aron is doing:

  • Aron is doing well. As we told you guys, he would be amputated. It's been a week since he was amputated. Everything else looks good, and he's awake. He is now breathing on his own and he has been fighting hard. He is now out of ICU.

The doctors have informed us that we can start feeding him some food next week but baby food because he still has the feeding tubes in.
That's all the updates I have for you guys and I'm very sorry for not keeping you guys updated things has been crazy and overwhelming.
If there is any updates I will let you guys and thanks again for your prayers, love, kindness and your support. We couldn't do this without your
help.

My family and I originally come from the DRC(Congo). We have been living in the United States for a little bit of time now and are trying our best to make a way. We are hard-working, diligent, kind and God-fearing people. When you come to this country as a refugee, as we have, life does not always start glamorous. We know that much. But we did not anticipate such a disastrous thing to pass over our family. We live in the City of Buffalo, off Broadway. At the end of our street, there is a wide opening that leads to the train tracks. It is an industrial city, after all. You could, quite literally, drive your car right off the road into the tracks. No signage and no barrier to be found. On June 28th, 2023, my little brother Aron was hit by a train. It was a day like any other day, things were fine. He was playing around with the other children and when everyone had come in we quickly realized that Aron was not there. That's when we heard a scream come from outside. Aron was hit by an oncoming train on the tracks near our home. Luckily, he is alive. His right leg will not make it though, and will have to be amputated soon. He also has a wound on his right torso that will need treatment as well. We are asking that you please find it in your hearts to give what you can because this will be a long process. My mother and father were in a very serious accident last year and it has left them both unable to work. We are getting by with the help of our community but this phase of our journey will require many hands. The funds will go toward his procedure(s) and the recovery that will follow. As more information comes to us about what will be required for his treatment and recovery, we will continue to update this and give a cost-breakdown. Please give what you can, thank you very much, and God Bless.
