Help Arnott's mum pay to fix his periprosthetic leg fracture
Donation protected
This little guy here is Arnott, he is a fiesty, cheeky troublemaker, orange kitty who I dearly love. He had surgery two and a half years ago after being clipped by a car, in which I went into debt as I scrounged together approximately $50,000 to save his life. Currently I just started saving back up, but only have about $1,000 and am still paying off over $10,000 of debt (on plans). It's been a long journey, as I myself had brain surgery just after he came out of the vet hospital, and another time at the start of last year.
Sadly the poor boy has tried to jump onto the couch (a very short couch), not made the jump and banged himself on the coffee table, and has fractured the top of his leg bone. He needs to get new metal plates put in that go all the way to the top of the bone, and the insurance company I signed up with have a clause that I wont be able to get cover because it was due to a pre-existing injury, even though I've been paying for cover since his first surgery, incase of future issues (he was my first pet so I didn't know pet insurance was a thing you might need til his first accident).
If anyone can help out, that would be so appreciated by me and my lil cheeky man. He has made my world so much better and all I want is for him to have the best life possible.
For context, his previous surgery, I found him with my tracker I had on his collar and rushed him to the vets. They thought his spine was paralysed, but he just had shock paralysis from his broken leg, pelvis and his tail becoming mummified. He had 2 bolts put in his pelvis, a blood transfusion, then had water on the lungs from being overfed fluids at the vets. He then had his tail amputated and multiple metal plates put in his leg, to stabilise it.
He is such a strong boy and recovered from it all, gained a little brother and returned to the sassy, lovable, grumpy kitty he has always been.
I noticed he tried to jump on the couch and failed, then noticed he started limping and then he began to have diarrhea and vomiting within 2 hrs of the incident. We took him into our vets and sadly he got a fracture just above the metal in his leg.
I usually don't like asking for help, but I want to be able to afford to keep the roof over me and my furrbabys head.
If anyone could help, even a little bit will go a big way.
If anyone wants more proof, more information, medical bills or pictures of the little man and his little brother, I am happy to provide those.
P.S. Please don't donate if you are struggling yourself, everyone needs to tend to their own garden before they can help others with theirs.
Thankyou for reading my lil man's story so far, and I hope you all have a lovely day,
From Arnott and his slave human
