Fundraiser for COVID hospital bill
** Help my brother battle Covid. Funding needed for immediate and ongoing medical care.**
Hi! My name is Contessa. I am fundraising for my brother Arnold's medical expenses to fight COVID and resulting complications. He has asthma and hypertension which are most likely making his fight tougher than the average case. He developed pneumonia in both lungs and is on oxygen support.
Prior to getting sick he was working overseas as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). Unfortunately he was forced into early retirement after COVID pandemic started and was sent home earlier than he had anticipated. He is in the Philippines and has no insurance. They are currently experiencing a wave of COVID Delta variant infections with hospitals full to capacity. We were very fortunate to be able to find a spot at a hospital for him that is equipped to handle COVID.
Your help will go towards all his medical bills at the hospital (laboratory tests, medicine, oxygen tanks, ICU/round the clock care if needed, daily hospital charges). The estimated bill at discharge will be about P600,000, IF he is well enough to be discharged after a week in the hospital.
Anyone who has met and know my brother knows that he is a genuine and loyal servant of God. When it comes to being there for others, he is both actions and prayers. He is usually the first one to lend a helping hand to those in need. We are hoping that through kindness and generosity of family friends and strangers that he would receive help from others in his time of need.
