Help Arnie Wingrove!

I finally was able to track down Arnie at his dear friend Candace‘s and asked if he was open to a fundraiser. YES!

He is in desperate need, as he lost everything to a fire in his home. After still barely recovering from FIVE strokes, at 74 years old, in his own words “with at least that many roasts in the oven over the years!”, flames suddenly shot out about 4 feet from behind the stove when he was cooking dinner. The fire spread quickly and he lost everything, except his grandpa‘s watch, his grandma‘s tablecloth and a picture album with smoke damage. He has a sleeping bag, pillow and a foamy.

He is not able to get online because the person he staying with isn’t online. He’s asked me to receive funds for him and deliver them in cash. He needs, at the bare minimum, first, last months rent for a new place to live. He needs a very large TV, so he can actually have a chance of seeing it. He needs a desktop computer, but most of all he needs a place to lay his head.

His doctor is on Hornby and he would love to return, as he has more support on the rock than anywhere. He may have to relocate to Parksville/Qualicum where he has a few friends. He has no money and no resources to make a move at this point. He is just now recovering from trying to go through the ashes to find anything salvageable. He will be meeting with the social worker on the 15th that will hopefully help lineup something.
