Earlier this year in June of 2024, our dear friend Arne Lucas suffered a severe and unexpected stroke that dramatically changed his and his family’s life in an instant. This tragic event has left him battling with numerous mobility issues, major speech impairments, and the inability to perform everyday tasks that we often take for granted.

Before the stroke, Arne was the type of person who was full of energy and always ready for an adventure. Now, he faces an uphill battle, requiring months—if not years—of intensive physical therapy and rehabilitation to regain even a fraction of the life he once had.

Unfortunately, the medical system only covers a limited amount of this crucial therapy, and with mounting medical bills, the financial strain is immense. The specialized physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy that Arne needs are costly, but they are essential for his recovery. Without this ongoing support, the likelihood of him regaining his independence diminishes significantly.
